Australian Family Histories: A bibliography and Index (AFH) – FREE to search
Has a family history book been produced with your family in it? Why not check the Australian Family Histories database. The AFH is a collection of family histories published in (and relevant to) Australia. This project was started by Ralph and Amy Reid, with the first edition published in 2004 and last edition in 2015. Family History Connections (formery AIGS) took over the project in 2017, and has converted it to a searchable database, free for everyone to access. It is an import work, as it not only provides bibliographic details of each book, but more importantly indexes all of the main family surnames mentioned in each of them, as well as states and regions in Australia. It currently contains over 10,000 titles and is being added to monthly. There are hundreds of thousands of names indexed.
