Tuesday 21st July 2015 brings us to day 11 of our cruise. After our adventures in Sweden yesterday we settled in for a sea day (ie. another conference day).
Unfortunately there were some late changes in the conference room allocation, which meant that there were a few 8am talks scheduled. Not ideal for a cruise we know, and it is testing everyone – however some are making the effort. This morning however I didn’t … I skipped it and my conference day started at 9am, and I made it to seven others during the day.
– Help: Which Information is Correct? – Carol Baxter
– Family History on the Cheap: Tips and Tricks – Shauna Hicks
– Chart you Family History – Barb Toohey
– Discovering Scottish Land Records – Chris Paton
– Timelines: The Straight Line Between You and Your Ancestor – Cyndi Ingle
– Putting Your Ancestors in their Place: A Guide to One Place Studies – Janet Few
– Ask Grandma: Getting the Family Stories Before it is Too Late – Helen Smith
Lots of great topics, so much to learn, and I took 18 pages of notes for the day. Hopefully I’ll remember at least some of what I heard.
After the evening talk it was off to one of the many lounges that this ship offers, to have a drink and chat with friends …
Our next stop is Day 12 and we head to Copenhagen, Denmark …
I’ve been reading and enjoying your articles about your trip. I am a bit envious, especially about your connecting with relatives. What a great opportunity! Thanks for showing us the sights.
