Unlock the Past’s 3rd History & Genealogy Cruise – The Geneabloggers

It seems to be a bit of a tradition (at least down here in Australia), that when we have major genealogy events, we like to get a photo of all the geneabloggers attending.  I can imagine that if they did this in the US, just about everyone attending would be invovled as there’s just so many more social media nuts over there – but our little geneablogger group is growing, and at the recent 3rd History & Genealogy Cruise we even roped in some overseas visitors who are geneabloggers too.

Firstly to caption the photo above:

Unlock the Past’s 3rd History & Genealogy Cruise – Geneacruising Part 1

Well, I’ve got my feet back on land after spending the past 10 days aboard the “Voyager of the Seas” cruise ship, for the 3rd History & Genealogy Cruise which was organised by Unlock the Past. And while it was great fun, and non-stop learning, it is nice to have a working computer that I can blog with. (Note: it’s really not convenient when your laptop dies on the first day of your trip, it does kinda put a halt to the onboard blogging). So bear with me, as I do some catchup posts.

As there is a lot to report this will be spread over several posts, as it’ll be easier for you to read, but also easier for me to write 😉

Let the Genealogy Adventure Begin

This coming Sunday marks the start of the 3rd History & Genealogy Cruise, which is organised by Unlock the Past.

Let me say up front that as nice as a cruise sounds, holidays on a ship aren’t my thing, let alone being with thousands of others for 8 days (I’m much more of a quiet B&B in a little country town kinda gal)  … still, I made the decision to go, and I am excited.

I really don’t know how much time (or be able to) blog while on board, but we shall see.
